Choosing where to stay on the Strip in Las Vegas is a big deal. The Strip is bigger than you think, so where you base yourself can make or break your trip. And with so many hotels to choose from, and so many incredible things to do in Las Vegas, it can be overwhelming when trying to decide where to stay.
We’ve been to Vegas many times and have tried all sorts of hotels on the Strip, from one end to the other, and everywhere in between. And without a doubt, we have always had the best experience when we stay right in the middle.
There are tons of articles out there about the best hotels in Las Vegas, but it seems like they all prioritize glitz and glam and completely ignore location. This is crazy to us! It’s all about location! Especially if you love the Strip as much as we do. Sorry, Fremont Street.
So we decided to put together our own list of the best hotels on the Strip. Our list is compiled and ranked based on our own personal experiences, as well as months of in-depth research, where we poured over thousands of reviews, ratings, amenities, and prices. 1. The Bellagio
The Bellagio is a 5-star luxury resort right in the heart of the Strip and it’s arguably the best place to stay in Las Vegas. This hotel is known for its iconic fountain show, which is one of the most popular things to see in Las Vegas! It’s impossible not to feel sophisticated when staying here.
The Bellagio has five pools, over a dozen restaurants, tons of shops, and a huge casino. It’s also home to the incredible O, Cirque du Soleil aquatic performance. The rooms are elegantly decorated and the front-row seat for the fountain show from the hotel’s fountain-facing rooms is unbeatable. This is our favorite hotel on the Strip.

2. The Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan is a super trendy 5-star luxury hotel located right in the center of the Strip, next to the Bellagio. It’s known for its swanky three-story chandelier bar (one of the coolest things to do in Vegas), vibrant atmosphere, and incredible rooftop pools.
The Cosmopolitan has a ton of restaurants (including several ‘hidden’ and ‘secret’ places), a popular event venue called The Chelsea, and a large casino. You’ll also find the Marquee Dayclub and Marquee Nightclub here. The rooms are modern, clean, and luxurious, and many rooms have a view of the Bellagio Fountains.

3. The Jockey Club
The Jockey Club is an underrated gem that’s hidden in plain sight, and the best part is that it’s budget-friendly. This 3-star hotel sits right next to the Bellagio and is attached to the Cosmopolitan. The Jockey Club is not glamorous or flashy like its neighbors, but its under-the-radar approach is what keeps it so affordable.
The hotel shares the same property as the Cosmopolitan, so guests can access the Cosmopolitan facilities without stepping outside. Guests also have full use of the Cosmopolitan’s pools! So you get all the glamour of the swanky Cosmopolitan hotel but with an affordable room, $5 valet parking, and no resort fees.
The rooms are spacious and set up like a condo, with a living room area, a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom. Some rooms even have views of the Bellagio fountains, although it’s hard to get one. We’ve stayed here a dozen times and have never been lucky enough to get a good view. But who cares when you’re just a few steps away from the fountains themselves, right?
If you don’t care about having a view from your room, the Jockey Club is the best value you’ll find in the center of the Strip, especially when you factor in the use of the Cosmopolitan facilities. We stay here more often than not when visiting Las Vegas.

4. Marriott’s Grand Chateau
Marriott’s Grand Chateau is a 3-star hotel, very similar to The Jockey Club above. It sits one block off the Strip, but is still near the center. This location is perfect for anyone who wants a low-key hotel that’s still near all the action. It’s right across the street from the Miracle Mile Shops and less than a 10-minute walk from the Bellagio fountains.
The property is a vacation club, but all that really means is that each unit will have a kitchen and living room area, and you shouldn’t expect much glitz or glam. Unless you’re an owner, vacation clubs are booked just like any other hotel room. The reservation, check-in, and check-out processes are also the same.
The rooms are big, each with a kitchen, living room, and separate bedrooms. They’re a bit more modern than some of the other vacation club rooms on this list, too. And some rooms do have a great view of the Strip, although you’ll need some luck to get one. But the best part? Free valet parking (yes, seriously!) and no resort fees.

5. Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara
Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara is a 4-star budget-friendly hotel located across from Mariott’s Grand Chateau and behind Planet Hollywood. The hotel is actually attached to Planet Hollywood, so you can access the Miracle Mile Shops, tons of restaurants, and a casino, without ever going outside.
The Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara is technically a vacation club, but it looks and feels more like a traditional hotel. It even has a resort-like pool with cabanas and bar service (which means it also has a resort fee). Elara also has budget-friendly studio rooms, which really sets it apart because most vacation clubs only have suites.
The building’s 50-story glass façade provides plenty of rooms with a panoramic view of the Strip. This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants to stay in the heart of the Strip without breaking the bank. It’s comparable to the Jockey Club, but just a few steps further from the Strip’s center.

6. The Signature at MGM Grand
The Signature at MGM Grand is a 4-star hotel that sits diagonally from the Marriott’s Grand Chateau, next to Top Golf. The hotel is set about 2 blocks back from the Strip, so it has a low-key feel while still being close to the action. Distinguished as a non-gaming, non-smoking hotel, it’s a retreat from the surrounding chaos, while still giving you access to the MGM property’s casino, dining, and nightlife.
The property is split into three towers, each with its own outdoor pools and dedicated concierge service. The best part about The Signature at MGM Grand is the spacious rooms. They’re seriously huge, and really affordable compared to similar rooms nearby.

7. Aria Resort and Casino
The Aria Resort and Casino is an eco-friendly 5-star resort near the center of the Strip, just south of the Cosmopolitan. Aria is huge with more than a dozen restaurants, a large casino, a pool, and a high-end mall called The Shops at Crystals. It is a short walk from the rooms to the Strip because the mall sits in front of the resort.
Aria is also known for its younger crowd and spicy nightlife. You’ll find tons of bars, including secret lounges, as well as the popular JEWEL Nightclub. There are also 3 pools, including the Liquid Pool Lounge, which has a chill pool party experience.
All the rooms at Aria include a one-touch room control system that allows you to quickly customize room features like lighting and temperature. The rooms are ultra-modern, plush, and sparkling clean.

8. The Venetian
The Venetian is an all-suite 5-star resort inspired by the city of Venice. It’s roughly a 20-minute walk to the center of the Strip, but the hotel is so great, and it’s surrounded by so many awesome attractions, that we had to include it in our Top 10. The resort features replicas of Venice’s landmarks, including an artificial canal with gondoliers and all, and Sistine Chapel-inspired painted ceilings.
The Venetian has ten pools, a spa, a large shopping mall called the Grand Canal Shoppes, a gorgeous casino, tons of restaurants and bars, a wax museum, a theater, and a nightclub. It also sits next to the new Sphere venue, which is one of the top immersive experiences in Las Vegas. And if that’s not enough, the rooms at The Venetian are amazing too — they’re all huge suites with panoramic views and an elegant feel.
Of course, with so much to offer and such lush accommodations comes a hefty price tag. The Venetian is not budget-friendly. But if you’re ready to splurge, and you’ve already experienced The Bellagio, this resort is the way to go.

9. The Palazzo
The Palazzo is an all-suite 5-star luxury hotel attached to The Venetian. It’s actually so similar in design and price to The Venetian that it’s difficult to identify the differences between the two resorts. The Venetian is just slightly closer to the Strip’s center and closer to the famous Venice canals. Many visitors struggle to choose between these two resorts.
Even the rooms are nearly identical! Guests at both The Venetian and The Palazzo can use all of the amenities between the two properties, too. Our advice? Think of it as one property. If you’re interested in staying at The Venetian, check prices at both hotels and just go with whichever is cheaper.

10. Vdara Hotel & Spa
The Vdara Hotel & Spa is a 5-star all-suite hotel that sits next to the Cosmopolitan and behind Aria. It’s actually a sister property to Aria and shares the same facilities. Many visitors have a hard time understanding the difference between the two. We recommend thinking of Vdara and Aria as the same resort. Vdara is just a separate tower, separated from the busy casino and crowds.
Vdara does not have its own casino, shops, or restaurant (besides a cafe), but it’s connected to Aria, so all of Aria’s amenities are easily accessible. It’s also a bit less expensive than Aria. If you want to stay at the Aria property, but Vdara’s price is more fitting for your budget, just book it. You won’t notice a huge difference.

11. Waldorf Astoria
Waldorf Astoria is a 5-star Hilton brand luxury hotel that sits right next to Aria, although Aria is set back further from the Strip. Waldorf Astoria is on the south side of Aria, and the Cosmopolitan is on the north side. It’s a non-smoking, non-gaming casino, although it’s very close to plenty of gambling and entertainment.
Waldorf Astoria is in a great location, it’s clean, and it’s comfortable, but there’s one major issue — it’s expensive. When you compare the amenities and rooms to similar hotels nearby, it just doesn’t deliver on value. That said, this is the perfect hotel for Hilton Honors members who want to use their points to stay here!

12. NoMad Las Vegas
NoMad is a chic 4-star hotel that takes up the top four floors of the Park MGM hotel, which you’ll find further down on this list. It’s easiest to think of NoMad and Park MGM as the same hotel because that’s exactly what it is. The top four NoMad floors are just more luxurious than the lower floors. NoMad also has a separate entrance and check-in process.
Because NoMad is part of the same building as Park MGM, it shares all the same amenities. Although NoMad does have its own rooftop seasonal pool. The hotel has plenty of restaurants (including an Italian food hall called Eataly), shops, a smoke-free casino, and a theater.
Each room at NoMad is elegantly decorated with rich, deep blues and gold accents. It feels regal with velvet upholstered furnishings, hardwood floors, ornate rugs, and vintage lamps that paint a warm hue over the room. The ultra-plush beds are also a huge upgrade from Park MGM’s beds. If you want all that Park MGM has to offer, but with a better room, this hotel is for you.

13. Caesars Palace
Caesars Palace is an iconic 4-star Roman-inspired resort that’s been around since 1966. It’s located centrally on the Strip, just north of the Bellagio. Caesars Palace is a massive property, famous for its large casino floor, Garden of the Gods-themed pools, tri-level OMNIA Nightclub, and legendary theater, The Colosseum. It also has a popular shopping mall called The Forum Shops and a ton of restaurants, including one by Bobby Flay.
The rooms at Caesars Palace are classy and elegant, with marble accents and regal touches; however, they are quite aged. For the price you’ll pay to stay here, you may be disappointed if you’re expecting a modern room. It’s also a common complaint that the check-in process is lengthy due to long queues. But as long as you manage your expectations of the actual hotel stay, this can be the perfect property to experience Vegas in an iconic way.

14. The LINQ Hotel + Experience
The LINQ is a 4-star hotel that sits between two of the Strip’s most iconic hotels, Flamingo and Harrah’s. The LINQ hotel is situated next to The LINQ Promenade, which is a bustling open-air shopping, dining, and entertainment area. The LINQ is best known for the High Roller — the world’s tallest observation wheel (and one of our favorite things to do in Las Vegas).
The LINQ really is in a great location, surrounded by some of the best themed hotels in Las Vegas, like Caesars Palace and The Venetian. Just steps from your room you’ll find everything you could want from Las Vegas. But location aside, the rooms leave much to be desired. They look clean and modern from afar, but up close you’ll find that they’re really run down.
So why is The LINQ on our list if the rooms aren’t that great? Because some people just don’t care about the room, and if you’re one of those people, The LINQ is for you! You cannot beat the price in this area of the Strip. Except for event weeks and holidays, rooms typically go for just $25 a night! You’ll need to triple that price to include the resort fee, of course, but even then, the price is still unmatched!

15. The Cromwell
The Cromwell is a 4-star boutique hotel located just steps away from the iconic Bellagio Fountains in the center of the Strip. This hotel was the Strip’s first standalone boutique hotel, and it’s home to the acclaimed Giada restaurant by celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. The rooftop bar was also a filming location for the 2020 season of Love Island USA.
The rooms at The Cromwell are decorated in a sultry Parisian-inspired theme. And did we mention the location is perfect? But this hotel comes up a bit short in some areas. The beds are quite uncomfortable, and the rooms have dim lighting and thin walls. The pool is also separate from the hotel and requires a $35 fee to use it. But if you aren’t concerned with these things, and the price is good for your budget, The Cromwell is a great place to stay.

16. Park MGM
Park MGM is a 4-star resort located next to New York-New York and across from T-Mobile Arena. The top four floors of the Park MGM hotel make up the NoMad hotel, which we recommended above. Park MGM and NoMad are the same hotel, but but the higher NoMad floors are a bit more luxurious. The remainder of the hotel is still nice, just not quite as nice as NoMad.
Park MGM features a beautiful outdoor pool area, a large non-smoking casino, and an array of dining options, including restaurants by celebrity chefs and the popular Eataly marketplace. The resort is also just a short walk from The Park, an outdoor entertainment district with dining, bars, and the T-Mobile Arena, making it a great spot for catching a show or event.
The rooms at Park MGM are stylish and comfortable, though they may not be as luxurious as some of the newer resorts on the Strip. The property has been recently renovated, so the amenities are modern and well-maintained. If you’re looking for a lively hotel with lots to do, but you don’t need a fancy NoMad room on the top floor, Park MGM is a solid choice.

17. Wynn Las Vegas
The Wynn Las Vegas is a 5-star luxury resort that has so much to offer, you could easily spend all your time at the property without ever needing to leave. Not only does the Wynn Las Vegas have its own 18-hole golf course right on the Strip, it also has a full-service spa, oasis-style pools, tons of high-end shopping, and an enormous casino.
A typical room at The Wynn is sophisticated and modern, with floor-to-ceiling windows and impressive views of the Strip or the hotel’s lush golf course. The rooms are huge too, with the most basic option coming in at over 600 square feet!
There’s no doubt this resort is top-notch, but in terms of where to stay on the Strip, it’s not our first choice. It’s just too far away from all the action! The Wynn Las Vegas is perfect for anyone looking for a luxury property that feels all-inclusive. It’s also perfect for golf lovers. But if you’re more interested in exploring the Strip itself, we suggest picking something more centrally located.

18. Planet Hollywood
Planet Hollywood sits in the heart of the Strip, across from the Cosmopolitan and diagonal from the Bellagio. Planet Hollywood is trendy and decorated with movie memorabilia, giving it a cinematic vibe. It’s also home to the very popular Miracle Mile Shops and the Bakkt Theater, which hosts singers with Las Vegas residencies, such as Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert.
Planet Hollywood has a large casino, two big pools (along with live DJs, bars, and cabanas), and a wave rider. But even with its prime location and modern design, we didn’t feel the rooms were worth the price. The facilities are a bit worn down, the walls are thin, and the rooms are not very comfortable. But the attached Miracle Mile Shops stand out as our favorite mall on the Strip! They have more than 170 stores and tons of great restaurants, including our personal favorite, Gordon Ramsay Burger.

Is it Worth it to Stay on the Strip in Las Vegas?
Many first-time visitors wonder if it’s worth staying on the Strip, especially if hotel prices are a concern. And we say YES, it’s absolutely worth the hotel prices to stay on the Strip, especially if your trip is focused on that area.
Staying on the Strip is so much more than just finding a place to rest your head; it’s about immersing yourself in the quintessential Vegas experience. Each hotel on the Strip is an attraction and world unto itself, so being on the Strip is like being in a theme park (specifically for adults). Staying there is like staying in the park, and it doesn’t get much cooler than that!
And yes, it is possible to stay on the Strip on a budget. That’s one of the reasons we made this list! There are plenty of inexpensive options above. The Strip is the heartbeat of the city, and staying in proximity to top-tier entertainment, dining, and attractions is the best way to experience it.
What is the Nicest Part of the Las Vegas Strip?
When it comes to the Las Vegas Strip, each segment has its own charm and allure, but for us, the nicest part lies in the very center. The Bellagio Fountains are smack dab in the middle of the Strip, and the perfect area to base yourself, so you can easily get to the main attractions to the north and south.
In the very center of the Strip, you’ll find the impressive Bellagio Resort, the Cosmopolitan, and Planet Hollywood. The best hotel attractions that sit north of the Strip’s center are Caeser’s Palace, The Venetian, The Palazzo, Flamingo, and Paris Las Vegas. The best hotel attractions that sit south of the Strip’s center are Park MGM, New York New York, Excalibur, Luxor, and Mandalay Bay.
For us, the center of the Strip captures everything that makes Las Vegas truly special — the perfect combination of luxury, experiences, and an atmosphere that’s just so alive and vibrant.
How Much Does a Hotel Cost on the Las Vegas Strip?
The cost of a hotel on the Strip can vary as widely as the attractions themselves, so there’s really something for every budget. Depending on the time of year, hotels can go for as low as $20 a night! Although, most hotels have a nightly resort fee of up to $50 a night so that cheap hotel price is more like $70.
But that same $20 hotel room could go for $300 a night based on factors like the time of year, major events, or even days of the week. Weekends and holidays always see higher rates. And don’t forget about those pesky nightly resort fees. The prices can really add up.
If hotel prices seem high for your trip dates, do some research and see if there’s an event going on during that time. It may explain the higher prices. And don’t be discouraged if you can’t find anything affordable right away. Keep checking prices and consider changing your travel dates by just a few days, because it could make a big difference.
Should I Rent a Car in Las Vegas?
We’ll cut right to the chase — for most visitors, renting a car is not necessary, especially if you don’t plan on going far from the Strip. The Strip is very walkable, there are tons of private transportation options you can book in advance, Uber is everywhere, and the Monorail is a great way to navigate the Strip.
When we visit Las Vegas, we only rent a car if we plan on driving more than 30 minutes away from the Strip. Otherwise, we just rely on private transportation, which we always pre-book to get us to and from the airport. Then we just walk or use Uber to get to our favorite places off the Strip (like AREA15 and Freemont Street).
If you do want your own car, or if you’re arriving by car, just be sure to do some research on parking in advance. Some hotels have off-site parking and it can be quite a trek from your car to the hotel! On the other hand, some hotels offer convenient (and even free) parking. So if you have a car, factor parking options into your hotel choice.
Final Thoughts: Where to Stay on the Strip
