Hi, we’re Sarah and Jake!

We’ve been building a life together since 2008. We finished our educations, established careers, bought our first home, got engaged, and were about to be married… we were doing everything the way society said we should. Next stop? Children.

The problem was, we didn’t want children. We had known for a long time that we didn’t want to be parents. So what was next for us? How do we continue building a fulfilling life if we’ve already reached so many milestones?

We soon started talking about travel, but we would say “I’d love to travel one day,” or “When we retire, let’s travel the world.” It was easy to fantasize about all the beautiful places that we’d love to see, but to actually take action and go? It felt so out of reach, it felt like something we had to work a lifetime to earn.

But WHY? Why was it out of reach? Why do we need to wait for retirement? What exactly were we waiting for? We didn’t have an answer.

So just like that, we decided to make travel a priority, and we went on our first trip in 2016. And it was a complete disaster.

We booked a gorgeous hotel right on the ocean, requested time off from work, and off we went. It was going to be magical, just like all the amazing social media posts we’re always drooling over. All we had to do was show up, right? Wrong!

We quickly learned that “winging it” was not a good approach to travel. Not only did we miss out on a lot of great things simply because we didn’t know about them ahead of time, but we also had a terrible experience at most of the tourist attractions, as they were overrun with crowds of other visitors. An entire week flew by and we had very little to show for it.

Feeling frustrated and defeated, we knew we had to give it another shot. We were determined to prove to ourselves that the reality of traveling could be just as magical as the fantasy of it. So we made it our mission to start planning our exact approach to every trip. We didn’t want to waste another moment of precious vacation time.

We’ve been all over the globe since that first trip eight years ago, learning from our own mistakes, mastering how to avoid tourist crowds, and perfecting the art of itinerary building. Now we’re ready to share our recommendations, planning tips, and travel guides, with people like you to use as a resource for planning your own amazing trips and adventures.

Traveling is our passion, but travel planning is our craft. And we can’t wait to help you craft the trip of a lifetime, every time.
